since I've posted my last journal so I wanted to do a quick update for the month. Been busy with life and other things. I'm still around, though, and I am still writing, mostly editing things, which takes me time.

That's beside the point. This is basically crunch time, the last month before this semester ends so I've been filling my days with homework while taking some breaks in between to keep my sanity. Lol, well, I shouldn't say sanity (I'd have to be sane in the first place to lose it), but I'm sure my meaning is clear. Homework drives me up the wall so the breaks are necessary.

Things coming up for me this month:

Hopefully, I'll be able to post another chapter to one of my stories, hopefully. Idk, lately I haven't been too thrilled with what I've been writing, but I'm working on that because I think part of the problem is me (in fact I know it is). I also messed up the next chapter of one of my fics so I've been trying to fix it for some time now. Well, I actually messed up chapters in a couple stories, but who's counting >.>

I'm getting there. I'm slow, and sadly that doesn't seem to be changing.

I have two big portfolios to put together in the next few weeks for my two writing workshops. A lot of editing mostly, but also some essays to write. I'm coming along fairly well with them, though so that's good.

I also have a big presentation to do at the end of the month for my Thesis class. I'm really nervous about it because I'll have to read one of the short stories I'm writing in front of the people attending (which may be a small to a large group depending on how many people show up). I've always had a hard time with things like this, but I think it will be a good experience for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing my audiences' reaction to my work. So wish me luck with it. I hope I do well.

And, last, but certainly not least. I guess this is my official, not so official announcement that I'm leaving y!Gal for good and Naruto fandom for the most part (I say for the most part because I'll still be posting a few fics on here, and I still love and read the Manga, but tbh, I hardly read any Naruto fan fiction anymore, and I don't see that changing).

But, yeah, there's really not much to say about that. I could list many reasons or possible reasons for it. I don't see the point in dragging it out, though. In a nutshell, it comes down to the fact that I get more done in my life and in my writing when I'm not on y!Gal. That first and foremost is the driving decision for me leaving and the most important. The rest doesn't matter tbh.

I don't care if anyone tells anyone else that I'm leaving (because it's not a secret or anything) or keeps it to themselves (just please, don't make any assumptions about anything--a quick link to this journal will suffice). Once my self-induced suspension is done on y!Gal, I'll post an announcement there.

As promised, I'll leave whatever I've already written on y!gal so long as it's a finished story. Haven't made a decision on what I'm going to do with stories I haven't finished but intend to finish and post on here. If I happen upon a dead story, I'll be taking it down. I don't see the point in leaving something up that will never be finished as it's annoying to start a story only to realize it's dead (although, I'm certain I've already taken down fics I dropped).
